During the pandemic, Suzuki Elders co-facilitated with UBC Medical Students, UBC Climate Hub students and SFU business students to develop and deliver five virtual workshops. Young participants were encouraged to explore issues around the rights to a clean environment and then deliver this message to Dr. David Boyd, UN Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment for the North American UN Consultation called “The Phoenix Conference”.
