Membership Working Group

The membership working group will lead activities to build and support the growth of Suzuki Elder membership, and orient and connect members to the Association.

  • Review new member applications, then present them to the Suzuki Elders Council. Your administrative skills in this working group will help us keep everything running smoothly!
  • Pair up new members with their Suzuki Elders buddies to help them feel right at home.
  • Keep our membership lists current and accurate.
  • Reach out to new Suzuki Elders members, provide them with our orientation manual, and make sure they have all the info they need.
  • Keep our members engaged through personal outreach and by using our website and social media. Building and maintaining connections is key!
  • Help us attract new members through an anti-racism lens by participating in SE social activities, developing diversity outreach, and encouraging current members to connect with potential new members.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with other organizations to expand our network.
  • Maintain records of decisions and changes made by the Membership Committee, and present these along with new member names to the SE Council at our monthly meetings.
  • Share the responsibility of recording and distributing the minutes from our monthly Council meetings to all council members.

We’re looking for some fantastic members to help out in a few interesting ways:

  • If you’re a friendly face who loves meeting new people, consider being a buddy! You’ll answer questions, invite new members to events, and help them get involved.
  • Got some computer skills? We could use your help with keeping our membership data up-to-date in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Join in on our projects and outreach activities! It’s a great way to connect with potential new members and spread the word about what we do.
  • If you’re good with organization and detail, we’d love your help recording and sharing the minutes from our Council or working group meetings.

If any of these sound like your interests, we’d enjoy having you on board. Thanks for considering!
