As part of the Seniors for Climate Oct. 1, 2024 initiative, four postcards were created, including one by the well-known Vancouver SUN cartoonist Graham Harrop. These postcards also had a message related to the climate crisis and needed action. They can be sent free to provincial and federal members of parliament to encourage more urgent climate action.

NOTE: the Graham Harrop cartoon cannot be used in any newspaper format but can be used for postcards and flyers for environmental actions.

Collaboration with Community Environmental Groups

As part of the organization of the October 1st Seniors for Climate Vancouver event, the Suzuki Elders collaborated with a number of community environmental groups.  The groups that helped with planning and provided several of the films shown were the UBC Emeritus Environmental Cohort, GTEC, Jellyfish Project, Vancouver Arts Colloquium Society and The Pender Island Ptarmigan Arts/WSANAC Elders.
